A special honor was the focus of the district meeting of the bavarian comrades and soldiers association of the district association forchheim. "I am happy to be able to bury them in pretzfeld" mayor rose stark declared at the beginning. Local chairman michael wenk also buried the comrades from the local associations in the district of forchheim who had come in large numbers for this occasion.
In his report, district chairman michael pieger outlined the activities of the past year. Highlights were the inter-association events and the autumn district meeting. "We always try to visit the local associations", pieger explained and emphasized how important grassroots work is to him. Mayor stark conducted the new elections. Michael pieger was unanimously re-elected as district chairman. Johannes weib was elected as a new deputy, michael wenk remains district manager. Newly elected treasurer was markus schirmer. The office of treasurer is held by manfred werner and edgar nistelweck. Mirko beregszazsi continues to be the standard bearer. Afterwards, pieger and district manager michael wenk awarded their comrade and honorary chairman peter schirmer, who was no longer available for this office after 30 years as district treasurer, with the loyalty cross for 40 years of active cooperation and the merit cross in gold on the female blue ribbon.
Schirmer joined the pretzfeld local association 40 years ago, pieger reported in his laudatory speech. Here he held the office of treasurer for twelve years and led the local association for 18 years. Schirmer thanked for this special honor and loved to review 30 years as treasurer of the district. "There were not only beautiful moments, but also sad ones. We have lost three wonderful people in this time, all three district chairmen, hans schumm, rainer blank and franz roth. It would be too much to list her achievements for the BKV."
After the honor pieger addressed still another request to the present members. The warriors and soldiers association schlaifhausen celebrates from 30. May to 2. June 2019 its 100-year existence with a rough firm. "Please support with your visit the local association of the soldier comradeship in schlaifhausen", said the district chairman.
