uS family joins praline manufacturer leysieffer

The U.S. Investor deel& winkler helps osnabruck praline manufacturer leysieffer out of insolvency.

According to a spokesman for the insolvency team led by lawyers joachim walterscheid and stefan meyer, the creditor’s meeting on thursday unanimously approved the insolvency plan, thus giving the green light for the new majority shareholder to join the company.

The new shareholder is not a financial investor but, among others, a family from germany that has been running the company hanseatische kaffee gmbh from bremen for five years, the spokesman said. This company already sells under the name leysieffer coffee. The previous shareholder jan leysieffer consequently remains in the company as a managing minority shareholder.

In april last year, leysieffer filed for insolvency in its own administration. In the past eleven months, four unprofitable branches were closed, among others. 25 percent of the jobs were cut, now only 260 people work at the traditional osnabruck company.
