Irmgard heinrich, was visibly impressed by the idea: "there’s no better way to teach children about nature than by letting them plant flowers and harvest radishes themselves", said the honorary chairwoman of the orchard and horticultural association.
At the children’s garden day at the home of dagmar and siegbert kiesel, the chairwoman of the association, her no less active husband and other members with green fingers playfully introduce children to the joy of working in the garden. The spab of the girls and boys as well as the recognition of the parents motivate to continue the success from the previous year on 1. June to repeat.
At the general meeting in the reiterswiesen parish hall, the association presents itself as solid, financially healthy and well recognized in the village. The board of directors has a lot of plans for its 140 members and all gardeners in reiterswiesen this year as well. On 27. April connen at the "old town hall reiterswiesen at the plant exchange bourse flowers, vegetables, herbs and plants are exchanged again, and on 8. October the association plans a harvest festival in crown hall. Also stammtische, trips and the care of plants and field monuments in the village stand again in the program.
Golden pin of honor
Irmgard heinrich was pleased to honor among the members, whom she was allowed to honor for many years of club membership, a deserved departure from times of common responsibility, franz dahnke, the former district advisor for horticulture and land management, the honorary pin in gold for 40 years of loyalty to the revers. She also presented reiner gicklhorn and christa kirch with a pin of honor, a present and a certificate. Albin geist, who has also been a member of the association for 40 years, was pleased to receive the congratulations, although he had already been awarded the gold badge of honor earlier. Veronika renninger has been a member of the reiterswiesener gartlern for 20 years, helga renninger for 30 years. For their commitment and loyalty, they received a flower gift from the association.
