At the "bohemian evening are five "cornerstones the brass band kraisdorf was honored for 70 and 60 years of playing music, among them gerhard eller for 45 years as conductor.
"Making music for 70 or 60 years – you have to let it melt in your mouth", the chairman of the northern bavarian music association, peter detsch (gadheim), said appreciatively. He thanked the club for always being well represented at county and district meetings. Together with chairman herbert schonmann, he awarded the following musicians with honorary pins from the north bavarian music association: reinhold schaad for 70 years of music making, ludwig dirauf, rudi eller and hans schneidawind for 60 years, and gerhard eller for 45 years of conducting. As far as he knows, eller is the first conductor in the region with such a long career.
The laudatory speech for the honorees was held by chairman schonmann.

The honorees

Reinhold schaad is with 81 years the oldest member of the band and one of the few lyre-players in the district. He learned to play the piano in 1947, when he was eleven years old, and three years later he sabered on the organ stand of the parish church of st. Germany. Kilian in pfarrweisach. To this day, he also plays the organ in the church in kraisdorf.
Hans schneidawind is only one year young and has been playing his trombone since the band’s founding. Before that, he had learned to play music with the church band in pfarrweisach and was briefly with the leuzendorfer musikanten. He was a member of the board for many years and was always a "driver" been in the band.
Ludwig dirauf has also been active for 60 years. As a charter member, he is the only one left from the first year of training. 60 years ago he started playing the piano and since his time in the band he has played the french horn or E-flat horn. Schonmann described him as a "reliable musician, comrade and friend".
Rudi eller described schonmann as one of the founding fathers of brass music. Eller had met with willy grimmer, ernst kettler and friedrich muller several times in 1970 to finally meet "at the buhler’s" invited to the foundation of a band. Like dirauf, rudi eller started playing the piano in 1957, was in the fischbach trombone choir and then in the kraisdorf brass band. Today he plays the bass trumpet.
Gerhard eller, who has been a member of the band since the founding meeting, received the gold pin of honor from detsch for 45 years as conductor. As schonmann said, eller always knew how to motivate the musicians. To date, there have been about 170 musicians "whom gerhard eller has trained musically and formed into team-minded group members for the band".
