Demands for kindergarten in wimmelbach, trailsdorf and hetzles

The expansion of kindergartens in bavaria continues apace. The state government supports the municipalities in the expansion of childcare places for children until they start school. The municipalities, which are demanded in the context of the special investment program, receive a surcharge of up to 35 per cent on the regular demand. Now the district of forchheim benefits from it.

Bavaria's family minister carolina trautner (CSU) declares in a press release: "we are creating tailor-made day care for children and are strongly supporting the municipalities in doing so. I am very pleased that the kindergarten st. 30 new childcare places to be created at st. Laurentius in wimmelbach, hausen municipality." The state supports the municipalities with a total of 1,604,000 euros.

The demand for preschool childcare places continues unabated. "Many of our district municipalities have responded to the increased demand by building new daycare centers or expanding existing ones, explains michael hofmann (CSU), a member of the forchheim constituency. "We were able to process all the applications that had been approved by 31 december. August 2019 have been made, take into account", reports hofmann, who is a member of the bavarian state parliament's budget committee.

Latest demand commitments from the fourth special investment program childcare financing also go to the communities of hetzles and hallerndorf. The expansion of the daycare center in hetzles with twelve new places for childcare is demanded with 528 000 euro. The new kindergarten in trailsdorf in the municipality of hallerndorf, which will provide 24 new places, is expected to cost over 1.9 million euros.

In the fourth special investment program, the 178 million euros in federal funds were supplemented by 356 million euros in state funds. This means that a total of around 63,500 childcare places are required for children up to school age.

Even after the end of the fourth special investment program, the state of bavaria is still demanding new buildings, expansions and general renovations of kindergartens within the framework of the bavarian financial compensation law. "Depending on the financial strength of the community, up to 80 percent of the costs incurred are reimbursed, and in some cases even up to 90 percent. But we also want the highest quality in daycare facilities everywhere in bavaria. That's why we also pay high operating subsidies to the communities and set additional qualitative accents through demand programs", hofmann explains.

Regarding the special investment program, minister trautner continues: "since 2008, the free state has been providing massive support to municipalities in the form of additional funds for the expansion of childcare. In this way, we are taking into account the changed needs of families and the increasing number of births."
