Kreisstraben: five village crossings to be renewed in 2020

To maintain its 260-kilometer network of county roads, the county will again provide 500,000 euros in the coming year. That’s enough for 3.8 kilometers. This will enable new pavement to be laid on the following stretches of road – mainly through towns: KT 21 (section through obernbreit), KT 37 (section through krautheim), KT 38 (stadelschwarzach to jarkendorf), KT 51 (section through rehweiler), KT 45 (section through laub) and KT 20 (section through martinsheim).

As was informed in the district committee, this year the district roads got a new cover on 6.3 kilometers long. In detail these were: KT 1 (section from monchsondheim to markt einersheim), KT 10 (section from reupelsdorf to wiesentheid), KT 11 (stephansberg to haidt), KT 33 (section at fischhof gerstner), KT 11 (section through munsterschwarzach, schwarzach), KT 20 (gnotzheim via bahnbrucke), KT 21 (gnotzheim to the county border) and KT 58 (wiesentheid to abtswind).

In order to make better progress with the expansion, there is also a trend-setting decision: in the future, not half a million euros but one million euros will alternate every two years. The million will fly for the first time in 2022.

Expansion of the landfill

Other items on the agenda of the district committee were: the iphofen district landfill is currently being expanded. It is after 2014 and 2017 the third vergroberung. This time it concerns a section directly at the kreisstrabe KT 16. 1.9 million euros have been earmarked for these projects this year, and another 250,000 euros next year.

The kitzingen fire department can look forward to a new hazardous materials truck in the next two to three years. A total of 550,000 euros will be made available for this purpose in the 2020 budget. The administration reckons that around 300,000 euros could be received as claim money.
