The 15. Hohner honda mountain run, combined with the upper franconian and district championship in mountain running, once again turned out to be a completely successful running event.
In cool but otherwise good running conditions, over 140 participants took to the starting line. The finish line was the hohner sports field.
The main race over 4.5 kilometers, starting in thann, was dominated by the two bad staffelstein TSV sophia franz and christian grundel. Both started without too many expectations and so their joy about the title was all the greater. After the start, christian grundel took the lead in the field with kevin karrer from bamberg, but in the shooting phase he was able to keep him safely behind him. Karrer also had to let the surprisingly strong oliver weingarth from the host SV bergdorf-hohn/team land rover beat him.
Weingarth, who already belongs to the M45, convinced after a very long break from competition with this strong performance and could even beat the bavarian champion roland wild of the LG bamberg by 39 seconds.
Sophia franz was more than surprised to win this race: "since i am not a mountain runner, i am especially happy to win this title". Christine schrenker from TV 48 coburg won the W50 and came in third overall, beating several much younger runners.
As was to be expected, jakob hafner (TV 48 coburg), noah moller (TSV staffelstein), cecil kumpel and valentin herrmann, both from TSV monchroden, were particularly successful in the junior category.
Jakob hafner, who still belongs to the MU14, had a clear lead of more than a minute after 2.5 kilometers at the finish line. Cecil kumpel won the WU14 as clear as valentin herrmann the MU18 over 4.5 kilometers. The MU10 race over 1.2 kilometers was closer. The talented runner noah moller beat his club colleague luca rose by a relatively narrow margin.
In the WU12 class, the monchroden team of katrin schafer, melina schafer and angelina steblau scored a triple victory. Florian roseler from TV 48 coburg was the fastest in the youngest runners over 300 and 500 meters, LAV neustadt took the other first places.
The team classification of the main run was decided by TSV staffelstein with sophia franz, eva lang (2), and the women's team. W20) and ulrike hummer(1. W55). In the men's race, SV bergdorf-hohn/team land rover with oliver weingarth, andreas krenz (2. M30) and erik fleischhauer (3. M20) of LG bamberg beaten. In third place another trio of the host with jens fleischhauer (1.M50), tom heumann (3. M30) and michael wolter (1.M60). At the awards ceremony, the winners and placers were delighted not only to receive trophies and medals, but also a bag full of fruit.
Stejskal criticizes
