Bamberg – diamond wedding anniversary of doris and friedrich krisl. Mayor wolfgang metzner (SPD) congratulated the bamberg couple on behalf of the city of bamberg.
Both come from bohemia, where friedrich krisl was born in 1928 and his later wife doris in 1932. They met at the hospital bed of the mother of one of friedrich krisl’s fellow students.
The couple married on 28. July 1955 in bamberg. The marriage produced two children. Four grandchildren are now also part of the family.
Friedrich krisl was a grammar school teacher. Until his retirement in 1991, he was deputy principal of the kaiser-heinrich-gymnasium bamberg for 16 years. Doris krisl worked as a secretary in an eye clinic for six years. Later she devoted herself to the household and the children.
In their free time, the couple enjoyed playing sports. Besides hiking, climbing and skiing, cycling was one of his favorite hobbies. They liked to combine this with travel. So they went on a bicycle tour to santiago de compostela.
Even today, the couple enjoys going to concerts and cinemas. While he is passionate about cooking, doris krisl is learning the french language or doing gymnastics.
