Local council: groblangheim has projects firmly in sight despite corona

Good start for the new groblangheim municipal council. The first meeting was attended by a large number of citizens, all of whom were wearing mouth-nose masks in accordance with the regulations.

In the constituent meeting, which like the previous meeting of the old council took place in the cultural center, all points were dealt with harmoniously and efficiently. "Of course, we had imagined it a little differently. When we agreed to take on this honorary office, we didn’t know anything about corona," said new mayor peter, said the new mayor peter sterk.

Sterk expects financial challenges

He was pleased that the constituent meeting could nevertheless be held in this way. Due to the corona crisis, there will be financial challenges and dents. "But we will finish rough projects like the started reconstruction of the josefstift or the planned connection of the sewage to the kitzinger clearing plant."

There will be new projects for the council and the community: "there is enough to do in the coming years. We will also have to make decisions that are not easy, but we will implement all decisions sensibly in order to continue the successful municipal policy of the last decades", said sterk.

Heike sterk remains second mayor of kleinlangheim

Walter haupt, as the oldest member of the council, administered the oath of office to the mayor. Sterk swore in the new council members elena bergmann and christian scheller (both young list), melanie durr and karsten droll (both independent langemer candidacy), bernd pfannes and bjorn grebner (both freie wahler) and frank schwitalla (CSU/free burger).

Heike sterk remains second mayor. She received eight votes in the secret ballot, karsten droll three and benjamin baumann two votes. The rules of procedure, which the council members had received in advance for review, were also adopted. There are only minor changes compared to the previous rules of procedure.

Meetings on the first tuesday of each month

The expenses also include the meeting fee, which remains at 20 euros following a unanimous decision. The mayor’s monthly salary of 3540 euros is based on the number of inhabitants. His deputy receives 290 euros. There was a short discussion about the meeting date: with nine votes against four, the committee decided to continue to meet on the first tuesday of the month.

With one vote against, the proposals for the presentations were accepted. Auditors are benjamin baumann, norbert droll and peter sterk. Benjamin baumann and frank schwitalla were confirmed as kindergarten representatives. Representatives at the VG-assembly are peter sterk and heike sterk as well as benjamin baumann.

No daycare fees in corona months

Peter sterk also takes part in the meetings of the kleinlangheim school association and, together with his deputy, in the full meetings of the arge dorfschatze. Youth officers are christian scheller and elena bergmann. Karsten droll, walter haupt and bjorn grebner are responsible for environment, nature conservation and agriculture.

Heike sterk, bjorn grebner and elena bergmann are responsible for culture and tourism. Matthias gunther and bernd pfannes are excursion officers, and karsten droll and matthias gunther keep an eye on the senior citizens.

For parents whose offspring attend kindergarten or day nursery, there was still a pleasant news at the end of the public part: for the months in which the children do not attend the day nursery because of corona, no contributions must be paid.
