Dreams in oberau castle

"Dream with me", this is the title of the concert evening of the cultural initiative bad staffelstein, to which four young artists in an unusual line-up will be invited on sunday, 15. September, by 19.30 o’clock to the castle oberau.

The concert is dedicated to romantic music for soprano, clarinet, violoncello and piano. Works by louis spohr, franz schubert, johannes brahms and other composers will be performed in alternating combinations. Stephanie simon, ulrike maria and walter gossel are all from upper franconia and have known each other since their school days, which brought them together in burghard fussek’s inter-school orchestra at the frankenwald high school in kronach. They are assisted by the young pianist philip dahlem from karlsruhe, who studied in hartmut holl’s song class there, among other things.

Brother and sister

Art song and chamber music are especially close to his heart, which makes this project a wonderful complement to his work as a song accompanist. Ulrike maria gossel is a former student at the vocational school for music in kronach, germany. After studying cello at the mozarteum in salzburg and as an erasmus scholarship holder in enschede, she now teaches cello at the coburg music school, among other things. Her brother walter gossel on clarinet enjoys playing music with his sister and is looking forward to the varied program of the chamber music evening.

This project was initiated by the soprano stephanie simon from kronach. After studying singing in wurzburg, she has moved her sphere of activity to the swabian alb, but she likes to take advantage of the opportunity to make music in her home country. Both stephanie simon and ulrike maria gossel have been guests at the concerts in oberau on several occasions. Advance tickets cost 13 euros and are available from the spa and tourist service in bad staffelstein.
